Importance of support
Phoning or emailing our helpline is often the first time someone has been able to talk about their situation. It can be an important first step in getting information about local services and available support.
Often family members try to deal with the problem themselves and may only seek help when there is a crisis. However, when families do receive support, they often say it helps them cope better, and they wish they had sought help earlier.
¹Calls from landlines are free. Calls from a mobile phone vary in cost depending on your service provider.
²The information you give to Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol & Drugs will only be used to provide an email response. It will not be passed to other organisations or third parties not directly connected with Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol & Drugs and you will not receive more communication from Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol Drugs unless you have asked for it.
