Set up a group
We can help you set up a and run a support group
If there are no suitable support groups near you, we can help you to start one. Our development officers - family support can help you with everything from finding a venue, publicity, funding, networking and running the group.
There are three stages of development that your group can go through: forming; maintaining; and becoming a charity. We have produced a simple guide which takes you through each of the three stages. Each stage has a family support group case study and an advice section.
Every family support group starts somewhere, and are typically independent community groups led by a family member or a professionally facilitated group attached to a drug treatment service.
Fill in our form to request more information about starting your own group and our family support development worker will get in touch with you.
