Families and Communities Masterclass

Scottish Families is pleased to be hosting the Families and Communities Masterclass at the Stirling Court Hotel.

This masterclass will provide the perfect opportunity to:

  • Learn how to develop more cost-effective ways to identify and engage with individuals, families and communities to support recovery.
  • Explore the existing assets that communities have and develop positive solutions in relation to problematic substance use.

Delegates will:

  • Learn about Asset Based Community Development from the internationally renowned author, trainer and speaker in ABCD, Cormac Russell (www.nurturedevelopment.org).
  • Discover how ABCD principles have been applied in practice in other parts of the UK to support recovery from Mark Gilman.

Scottish Families will bring together those working in the drug and alcohol field, and those interested in recovery from all across Scotland, to discuss and explore how ABCD can be applied as part of a whole-systems approach to recovery.

This masterclass will expose the possibilities for individuals to make real changes locally and build sustainable, resilient and responsive communities.

Cost of the Masterclass is £55 and includes lunch.
