The Alcohol Action Group

The Alcohol Action Group was established by Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol and Drugs in December 2020 to understand the presence of alcohol in people’s communities across Scotland. The group is open to anyone who wants to take actions to reduce alcohol harm and includes family members who are impacted by someone else’s alcohol use, community members, and people working in services and organisations addressing alcohol harm.”

Currently, the Alcohol Action Group is working to share the findings of the Alcohol Everywhere report as widely as possible. The Group is planning to respond to upcoming labelling and marketing consultations and interested in carrying out further research with young people.

For up-to-date information on the groups’ activities, follow @alcSFAD on Twitter.

If you’d like to be involved with the group, email our Policy and Research Assistant Rebecca McColl at rebeccamc@sfad.org.uk.
