The Alcohol Action Group

Following on from the release of our Alcohol Shorts podcasts in 2020, Scottish Families has brought together a small group of people to explore the presence of alcohol in everyday life and what this means for families.

‘Alcohol seems to be a common feature in a lot of conversations right now especially in jokes on social media around how people are coping with life at home with work and the kids’ – Alcohol Shorts, 2020

We conducted two surveys in 2021, in Jan/Feb and then again in Sept/Oct. Listen to the Scottish Families ‘Life with Alcohol and Drugs’ podcast episode as we discuss the findings of our first survey here.

Do you have experience of living with a family member or friend who uses alcohol to problematic levels? Are you interested in exploring the presence of alcohol in everyday life and across your community?

If so, we’d like you to get involved!
