Alcohol Shorts is a new podcast mini-series from Scottish Families! Since being asked to stay at home, some family members have noticed that their loved ones are drinking more. Some are also experiencing challenges with drinking for the first time because of the additional pressures of staying at home including schools closed and homeschooling pressures, possibilities of furlough and unemployment, and a general impact on our mental health.
These short podcasts explore the issues of alcohol use and offer some support to family members and individuals who are experiencing these additional pressures because of stay-at-home advice.
Our podcast host John Holleran, the Families and Communities Manager of Scottish Families is joined by a range of guest speakers from different organisations. Organisations include British Liver Trust, Corra Foundation, the Scottish Recovery Consortium, some of the team at Scottish Families, and many more.
Our first episode with guest speaker Rowan Anderson from Corra Foundation launches today. We will then release two podcasts a week over the next few weeks. Enjoy!
