Drumchapel Recovery Drop In (NW Recovery Community)

Drumchapel Drop came about with some momentum following the establishment of an excellent core group of volunteers who came together following a landmark Recovery Conversation Café in early 2014.

Those who have come along so far have reported that a special atmosphere has been created in the space, it is very friendly and welcoming. Because of the way in which it is set up anyone coming through the doors whether they be regulars or new to the drop in are instantly welcomed, signed in, tea/ coffee is sorted out and they are introduced to the programme for the day. A big part of the day includes making sure that people feel looked after, that there is recognition given to people who may have come along on their own and who may be a first timer at the drop in.

There are many activities on offer in Drumchapel including: Reiki, Women’s Recovery Meeting, Recovery Meeting, Boxercise, Table Tennis, Fortnightly Art Workshops, Free food/tea & coffee and Peer Support.

Between 50-60 people attend every week, some of whom come along for a coffee and to meet people and others who come specifically looking for structured programmes. Whatever your interest there is room for everyone.

If you would like more information about Drumchapel Drop In or would like to meet up with one of our volunteers before going along then please do not hesitate to contact us either by phone or email and we can set that up!

Drop in each Monday 11:00am – 2.30pm
