Forth Valley Recovery Service provided by Change Grow Live (CGL) – Stirling
SERVICE PROVISION
CGL Forth Valley Recovery Service provides a range of community and prison based services to support individuals who use drugs and alcohol in Forth Valley. CGL provide recovery focussed interventions one to one and in a CBT informed group work programme.
The interventions provided are:
Harm Reduction and Injecting Equipment Provision (IEP)
- Harm reduction and safer injecting/use advice;
- Take Home Naloxone distribution/training/overdose management advice (in line with National Naloxone Programme Scotland);
- Motivational interviewing, supporting movement into treatment;
- Advice to community pharmacy IEP contacts
Recovery Coordinators and Behaviour Change:
- CGL provide 1:1/Psychological interventions and wrap-around support to service users engaged with Medicine Assisted Treatment (MAT). This includes case management, peer involvement, support to access other services, support with transport/attendance, on-going harm reduction, advice/information/guidance and motivational interviewing.
Primary Care Workers will work across GP practices to provide:
- A single contact point for interventions within GP settings; 1:1 keyworking, psychological interventions and social prescribing;
- Support all stages of MAT (medically assisted treatment) and detoxification in the community
Community rehabilitation group work programme, including:
- Foundation of Recovery groups;
- ‘Healthy Living’ Sessions with NHS FV Health Promotion Team;
- Walking groups;
- Fellowship Groups;
- Partners delivering sessions (e.g. JobCentre Plus, CAB, KeepWell)
