Service Provision
Our main task is to achieve improved health and well-being of individuals, families and their children. In order to achieve this, as a voluntary organisation, we provide family support and flexible respite services to parents with children aged 0-16 years, predominantly within the East/North East in Glasgow. The service is intended to be a short term flexible support to families experiencing addiction, stress, crisis or isolation. These services set out to achieve a set of aims for both the family and children.
Support for children
- Increase confidence, children’s social skills, opportunities to experience positive play
- Improve personal hygiene, self-development and communication skills
- Enable children to have fun
- Keep children safe
- To make new friends and interact with the wider community
- Reduce anxiety/stress and isolation
Support for families
- Give parents/carers more time for themselves
- Enhance Parenting Skills
- Enable parents/carers to develop personal interests
- Increase self-esteem/confidence
- Improve family relationships, family routines, budgeting, health and wellbeing
- Reduce stress, the need for statutory involvement, social isolation/access local resources and tension in the home
