Renfrewshire Carers Centre
Support Provision
Carers support – A carer is anyone who cares, unpaid, for a friend or family member who due to illness, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction cannot cope without their support. Renfrewshire Carers Centre is a one stop shop for carers whose aims are to support carers in their caring role and provide them with opportunities to have a life outside of caring through a range of high quality services. Please have a look around and if we can assist in anyway please contact us
Kinship Carers Group – Kinship Carers Support Group is for grandparents or other family members who are caring for children as their parents are unable to do so due to an illness, disability or addiction. The group offers support information advice, and a much needed break from the stress that this role creates. If you are a kinship carer and do not wish to attend the group session but require some help and support Marlene, our kinship carers worker, will meet you on a one to one basis. Just give the centre a call and arrange an appointment.
Advocacy – Renfrewshire Carers Centre’s Advocacy service provides support to unpaid carers over the age of 18 years living in Renfrewshire. If there is a carer involved in particular family situations, then we would be able to provide the support to that carer but not the cared for person
