We are here to help

We support anyone in Scotland needing help dealing wit a loved one’s addiction to alcohol or drugs.  We meet online every Tuesday at 7pm.

Al-Anon Family Support

Helpline providing support for families and friends of problem drinkers whether the person is still drinking or not. Information on support groups and times can be obtained through their helpline number and website.

Adfam is a national charity tackling the effects of alcohol, drug use or gambling on family members and friends. It aims to empower family members and carers, support frontline workers and influence decision-makers to prevent alcohol and drugs from destroying families. We Are With You

Provides free, confidential support with alcohol, drugs or mental health online and through their local services. They also provide support to family members and friends of those who use substances. Live Chat available on website Mon-Fri 9am-9pm Sat-Sun 10am-4pm.

Families Outside

Families Outside is the only national charity in Scotland working exclusively on behalf of families affected by imprisonment. They speak to thousands of families each year, providing information and support on issues such as housing, finance, and emotional support. Their helpline provides impartial information and support and is often the first port of call for families looking for help. If family members require more in-depth support, their Regional Family Support team is on hand throughout Scotland and can offer direct, one to one support until a positive outcome is reached.

Home-Start

One Parent Families Scotland

Operates the National Lone Parent Helpline, providing advice and practical support for single parents. They give advice on benefits and tax credits, child maintenance, family rights, childcare, separation, moving into work and advice on education funding. They also offer locally based services that provide personal face to face family support, help to move into work through work preparation or work training programmes, a flexible childcare service, debt advice, representation on benefit disputes and practitioner support.

Age Scotland

Age Scotland is the leading charity representing older people in Scotland and supporting their rights and interests.
