Alcohol Shorts – Podcast

Alcohol Shorts was a short podcast series from Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol and Drugs. The series was introduced throughout the Covid Pandemic in 2020 – 2021. With being asked to stay at home because of the pandemic, some family members noticed that their loved ones were drinking more. Some were experiencing challenges for the first time because of the additional pressures of staying at home. Children were also being exposed to alcohol when they wouldn’t normally because of different routines.

These short podcasts explore alcohol use issues and offer some support to family members and individuals who experienced additional pressures because of stay-at-home advice.

The podcast host is joined by various guest speakers from different organisations. Organisations include the British Liver Trust, Corra Foundation, the Scottish Recovery Consortium, some of the team at Scottish Families, and many more.
