Service Provision

EARS has been providing independent advocacy to older people for over 21 years. We currently provide advocacy to older people, who would benefit from independent advocacy support, in Mid, East and West Lothian. Below are some specific examples of situations in which we have supported and assisted older people:

- Mental Health Advocacy for –
  - Hospital and Community-based Detentions
  - Mental Health Tribunals
  - Treatment Orders
- When Moving into a Residential Care Home
- When a Residential Care Home Closes
- Dealing with accommodation issues in Care Homes and Sheltered/Amenity Housing
- Delayed Discharge Situations
- Care Package Planning and Delivery
