Fife Young Carers
Service Provision
Individual Support – If a young carer is experiencing difficulties such as bullying, problems with attending school or coping with their caring role a support worker can offer individual help to work through their problems. A support worker will also act as an advocate (someone who speaks on someone else’s behalf) for young carers.
Support groups – Fife Young Carers run fortnightly support groups for juniors (aged 8-12) and seniors (12-18) in various places around Fife. Our group nights are about having fun and getting a break from a caring responsibility.
We do a whole variety of activities from arts and crafts and baking to playing games and sport! A support worker is available at group nights to discuss any worries or problems. It’s also a chance to meet other young carers.
