Service Provision

We offer support to families in the Falkirk Council area affected by substance use by helping new mothers during pregnancy and providing babies up to their 1st birthday with a chance to have the best start to life. We are here to help families at the earliest stage, support them along their road to recovery and reduce the potential of future difficulties for them and their children.

How we help

We offer relationship and strength-based practical and emotional support to help children remain with their birth families. Many new mothers feel intimidated by procedures and fear negative assumptions that they could never be good enough parents due to their substance use. One such parent said, “I felt judged at meetings… like I was a second-class citizen”. Other parents agreed that they felt they were left behind and treated differently from other parents.
