Lifeline Family Support
Service Provision
Caring for someone with drug or alcohol problems can be difficult and very challenging. Lifeline offers a bit of breathing space and a chance to talk to others in a safe space where anything that is shared or discussed is confidential.
Lifeline offers 2 options of support.
Access to Lifeline Group – This group is an informal group of carers who just want to have a chat and a cup of tea or coffee with others like them. Lifeline group run’s on the 3rd Tuesday of the month every 4 weeks 1-3 pm. Lifeline family support group offers peer support and a chance for a chat and a cup of tea or coffee. They also work with other services in the city to influence change by sharing experiences of what has worked well and what could be better. They agree together their areas of interest and invite professionals along to share information and experiences.
One to One support – Support workers can offer one to one support if you would rather not attend a group session. Your name will be added to a waiting list and when a worker becomes free you will be allocated to them for support.
